Karlene sculpts these one-of-a-kind pieces from micaceous clay which is flecked with tiny particles of mica. After the pieces are sanded, she fires them in an electric kiln. Next they are enhanced with "smoke clouds" in a fire & finally semi-precious stones & found objects are added for color & drama.
